Moisturize Your Skin When You Bathe

If you want to add extra moisture to your skin when you bathe, here are some extra great tips you can easily do the next time you take a shower or take a bath.

Close your bathroom door… Closing our bathroom door adds humidity and helps sensitive skin soak in the extra moisture. Keep in mind body wash and grocery store bought soaps, known as detergents, can strip the protective oil from your skin and healthy pH balance.

One of the most important characteristics defining the quality of true bar soap is that they are manufactured as Grade 1 soaps made with a minimum 80% TFM (Total Fatty Matter). Simply put, the higher TFM of soap, the better its cleansing ability, add the moisture back while being gentle on your skin. Choose soap made with Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter or Glycerin as a moisturizer.

The best products for your skin are natural bar soaps. This includes bar soaps that are hypoallergenic, paraben-free, cruelty-free, phthalate-free and vegan. Make sure to rinse your skin thoroughly to ensure no soap residue remains on your skin. And if you take a bath, a quick rinse in the shower will help do the trick.
